39,000 registered voters in Pateros to go to polling centers today


More than 39,000 people will cast their votes in the national and local elections in Pateros today, May 9.

According to the Commission on Elections (Comelec)-Pateros, there are 39,273 registered voters in Pateros, the smallest local government unit in Metro Manila, and 10 polling centers.

Vying for mayor are reelectionist Miguel Ponce III, who is running for his third and last term, and independent candidate Marilyn Chiong. Ponce was first elected in 2016 and got reelected in 2019.

Running for vice mayor are John Peter Marzan, Ponce’s running mate, and Carlo Santos of the Nacionalista Party (NP).

For congressman of the First District of Taguig-Pateros, the candidates are Allan Cerafica of Partido Pilipino sa Pagbabago (PPP) and Ading Cruz of NP.
