Led by incumbent mayor of Marikina City and re-electionist Marcelino “Marcy” Teodoro, Team Marcy rallied their supporters to the Marikina Riverside on the last day of the campaign period.

As early as 4:30 p.m. the right side of the river park was already swarmed by supporters of all ages, wearing shirts of the team's staple blue color.

They eagerly held blue balloons, and signs bearing the names and faces of their chosen candidates.

Mayor Teodoro and his wife, congressional candidate Marjorie Ann "Maan" Teodoro arrived at the venue at around 5:30 p.m.

From around 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., the energy of the crowd was fueled by non-stop performances from local dance groups, and singers.

Most notably, singer Darren Espanto, made a guest appearance, and serenaded the crowd with four tunes.

The councilorial candidates of District 1 and 2 danced to their campaign jingles upon their individual introductions.

Frequent chants shouting "Vote Straight, Team Marcy" were heard throughout the night.

Teodoro thanked the team's supporters for their efforts throughout the whole duration of the campaign period, as well as amid the challenges they've faced in his past two terms as mayor, especially during the pandemic.

"Patuloy tayong magkasama-sama, magtulong-tulong. Patuloy na maging matatag para sa Marikina (Let's continue to come together, to help each other, to continue being strong for Marikina)," urged Teodoro.

Incumbent Vice Mayor and re-electionist Dr. Marion Andres addressed the crowd, saying he hoped to keep an "abundant, progressive, and healthy city" come Monday.

Team Marcy welcomed the local campaign period on Friday, March 25 with a motorcade through the barangays in the city.
