Universal Pictures International will be releasing three films in the Philippines in June.
“Jurassic World Dominion,” from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, will hit Philippine cinemas on June 8 that will feature never-seen dinosaurs, breakneck action and astonishing new visual effects.
Starring returning cast Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, the film also has Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum and Sam Neill.
From Jurassic World architect and director Colin Trevorrow (who steered 2015’s “Jurassic World” to $1.7 billion global box office), “Jurassic World Dominion” takes place four years after Isla Nublar has been destroyed.
Dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine, once and for all, whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.
The movie features new cast members DeWanda Wise, Mamoudou Athie, Dichen Lachman, Scott Haze and Campbell Scott. The film’s returning cast includes BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez and Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè.
On the other hand, the horror film “The Black Phone” will open on June 22. In the movie Finney Shaw (played by Mason Thames), a shy but clever 13-year-old boy, is abducted by a sadistic killer (played by Ethan Hawke and trapped in a soundproof basement where screaming is of little use.
When a disconnected phone on the wall begins to ring, Finney discovers that he can hear the voices of the killer’s previous victims. And they are dead set on making sure that what happened to them doesn’t happen to Finney.
“Minions: The Rise of Gru” will be released in the Philippines on June 29. The movie showcases the origin story of how the world’s greatest supervillain first met his iconic Minions.
Long before he becomes the master of evil, Gru (Steve Carell) is just a 12-year-old boy in 1970s suburbia, plotting to take over the world from his basement. When Gru crosses paths with the Minions, including Kevin, Stuart, Bob, and Otto—a new Minion sporting braces and a desperate need to please—this unexpected family joins forces. Together, they build their first lair, design their first weapons, and strive to execute their first missions.
“Minions: The Rise of Gru” stars Taraji P. Henson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, Lucy Lawless, Dolph Lundgren and Danny Trejo. It also has Russell Brand, Michelle Yeoh and Julie Andrews.
