It's all systems go for the coronation night of Miss World Philippines 2022 on June 5 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Prior to this, the different properties of Megaworld Hotels and Resorts will be the venue of various pre-pageant activities, with Kingsford Hotel Manila appointed as the Official Residence of the 35 candidates.
In a press conference dubbed "When WORLDS Meet," the Miss World Philippines Organization and Megaworld Hotels and Resorts signed a special partnership agreement which would make Megaworld a major sponsor of the prestigious pageant.
As part of the deal, Miss World preliminaries will be held in the following Megaworld properties: Savoy Hotel Boracay/Belmont Hotel Boracay for the Beach Beauty Competition; Belmont Hotel Manila for the personality Development Session; Richmond Hotel Eastwood for the Official Headshot Photoshoot; Twin Lakes Tagaytay for the Head-to-Head Challenge; Hotel Lucky China town for the Talent Competition/Beauty With A Purpose Presentation; and Venice Piazza Mall for the National Costume Competition.
Personalities who were present at the contract signing yesterday were Miss World Philippines National Director Arnold Vegafria, Megaworld Hotels and Resorts Group Managing Director Cleofe Albiso, Miss World PH Vice-President Ryan Ris Calmante and Kingsford Hotel Manila General Manager Joe Fijardo. Miss World Philippines 2021 Tracy Maureen Perez witnessed the contract signing with the presence of this year's official finalists.
Megaworld's Albiso said they chose to sponsor Miss World Philippines among the different pageant organizers because "we resonate with their values." She added that the organization has a good track record of candidates who brought home the crown and has its own established foothold in the pageant scene.
For his part, Vegafria said: "it is an honor to partner with Megaworld. Their hospitality is really amazing, and we share the same advocacies." He further remarked that the coronation night on June 5 will a grand pageant extravaganza.
"It will be bigger and better than the previous years and will definitely be something for people to remember," Vegafria added.
