Arvin Tolentino ranked sixth in the top 10 RME examinees with a rating of 89 percent. CDM graduates Dennis Mañozo and Joshua James Racelis also passed the exam.

“I congratulate our first batch of CDM graduates, especially Arvin Tolentino for ranking in the Top 6. It gives the City of Muntinlupa honor and pride amongst all our students. Truly CDM is now the premier local engineering school in southern Metro Manila. Congratulations also to our CDM president, Dr. Teresita Fortuna, and all our deans, professors and students,” said Mayor Jaime Fresnedi.

"Congratulations to Colegio de Muntinlupa (CDM) for obtaining a 100% passing rate in the April 2022 Registered Master Electrician (RME) Licensure Examination! Truly a proud moment for every Muntinlupeño," said Muntinlupa Rep. Ruffy Biazon.

He added, "I am also delighted to congratulate Arvin N. Tolentino--also from CDM--for ranking 6th among the exam topnotchers. CDM's stellar performance in its first ever board examination is a testament to the institution's commitment to providing quality and professional learning for students. To our new Registered Master Electricians, we are proud of you!"

According to Fortuna, “Mixed emotions, overwhelmed, so blessed to have an excellent team, expert professors, engineers who helped in the creation of CDM. Blood, sweat and tears. I did my best to train not only to be good engineers, but engineers with character, integrity and love for all.. Of course without the trust and confidence of Mayor Jimmy, CDM will never be a reality.”

The Registered Master Electrician licensure exam was conducted on April 26 to 28 at testing centers in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legaspi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.

Fresnedi said that the students’ achievement is a testament that the city government’s investment in residents’ education is “money well spent.”

Along with scholarship programs, the Fresnedi administration realized the establishment of CDM, which aims to provide top-notch education on engineering and science and technology for Muntinlupa students and residents from nearby cities.

Recently, the CDM announced that it will offer the following new programs: BS Architecture, BS Construction Engineering and Management, BS Environmental Engineering, BS Industrial Engineering, and BS Robotics Engineering.

The programs are in addition to the existing engineering courses: BS Civil Engineering, BS Computer Engineering, BS Electrical Engineering, BS Electronics Engineering, and BS Mechanical Engineering.

Situated in Posadas Avenue in Barangay Sucat, Colegio de Muntinlupa was founded with five initial engineering courses. CDM will hold its first commencement exercise this year for the first batch of graduates.
