Antipolo local execs lead groundbreaking for Emergency Operation Center building
The Antipolo City local government on Tuesday held the groundbreaking of its Emergency Operation Center Building as part of its efforts to provide streamlined public service to its constituents.

In a set of photos posted on her official Facebook page, Antipolo City Mayor Andeng Ynares was seen leading the groundbreaking ceremony together with other city government officials and employees.
"Lumaki ang ating pangangailangan lalo't may pandemya. Kaya naman dagdag pasilidad sa ating kasalukuyang Command Center sa Brgy. San Jose ang itatayong three-storey Emergency Operation Center Building (Our needs have multiplied amid the pandemic, that's why this three-storey Emergency Operation Center Building will serve as an additional facility to our current Command Center located in Brgy. San Jose)," Ynares said.

The new building will house the offices of agencies involved in public safety and security such as the Office of Public Safety & Security, Antipolo City Anti-Drug Abuse Council, Antipolo Peace & Order Council, Bureau of Fire & Protection (BFP), Military Reservists, Red Cross, and National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), among others.
"Magiging opisina rin ito ng City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), at para mas mapadali at mapabilis ang pagresponde 24/7 sa ating mga kababayang nangangailangan, magkakaroon din sila ng satellite office sa nirerenovate na GAD Center sa Sumulong Plaza, katabi ng bagong munisipyo (This will also be the new office of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office. To ensure the fast and easy 24/7 response to our residents in need, the CDRRMO will also have a satellite office at the currently being renovated GAD Center in Sumulong Plaza beside the new town hall)," the LGU said.
A helipad is also said to be built at the roof deck of the facility.
The city government said that residents may call the City Engineering Office hotline (8689 - 4561) for queries and updates.
