RSG Philippines’ gold laner Eman “Emann” Sangco only needed a chance to showcase his potential and prove that he belongs in the big league. When he was given the opportunity, he immediately seized the moment and made sure to shine under the bright lights of the MPL Philippines centerstage.

Emann was a vital cog to RSG PH’s Season 9 title conquest, even holding his own against seasoned gold laners in Onic’s Marky “Markyyy” Capacio and Omega Esports’ Duane “Kelra” Pillas who both had experience in international tournaments under their belts.
It was actually hard to imagine that the 16-year-old gold laner didn’t see action in his rookie season and was even close to being cut from the roster a few months back.
“Nung di po ako nakalaro naging malungkot po ako kasi gustong-gusto ko talaga maglaro nun,” said Eman recalling his time in Season 8 when he had to ride the RSG bench and watch the games from the sidelines.
“Nandun lang ako sa gilid nanonood, nagchicheer. Ngayong Season 9 ginalingan ko talaga kasi muntik na ako matanggal eh, napunta ako sa tryout stage tapos napasa ko, Nag-praktice pa ako para lumakas pa lalo para 'di ako tanggalin sa team,” he added.
The work paid off for Emann as helped RSG Philippines dispatch Omega Esports in the Grand Finals with a 4-1 victory. He was a constant threat for RSG with his scaling marksman heroes – his Brody pick in Game 1 even scored a pair of triple kills to give his team a rousing start to the series.
“Nagbunga yung grind ko sa gold lane and eto na yung narating ngayon,” said Emann.
For him, all the patience and hard work throughout his stay with RSG was all worth it. Instead of getting discouraged by those challenges, he used it as a motivation to bag his first MPL title.
“Sobra po (naging motivation) kasi naiinggit po ako sa kanila eh nakikita ko sila naglalaro sa MPL sobrang inggit talaga ako kasi lalo na yung mga family ko na gusto ako makita maglaro sa stage hinhintay nila ako maglaro.”
