Congressional bets tie for first place in election survey in Taguig, Pateros


Results of a recent survey showed a very tight congressional race in Taguig and Pateros with candidates statistically tied for first place.

The RP-Mission and Development Foundation Inc. (RPMD) announced the results of its survey for congressmen in the National Capital Region (NCR) for the May 9 national and local elections.

Its "Boses ng Bayan: NCR 2022" survey was held from April 17 to 21 through face-to-face interviews with 10,000 respondents randomly selected from 7,322,361 registered voters in various areas of Metro Manila with a margin of error from 2.5 to 3.0 percent for large cities and 3.36 percent for small local government units with 850 respondents.

There are two legislative districts covering the two local government units: The First District of Taguig-Pateros and Second District of Taguig.

Based on the RPMD survey, for the First District of Taguig-Pateros, congressional candidates Ading Cruz of Team Lani Cayetano and Allan Cerafica of Team AMC are statistically tied for first place.

Cruz received 42 percent and Cerafica got 40, or a small difference of two percentage points.

According to RPMD, candidates are statistically tied if the margin is within one percent to three percentage points in accordance with the margin of error of the survey.

For the Second District of Taguig, congressional bets Pammy Zamora of Team Lani Cayetano and Che Che Gonzales of Team AMC are also statistically tied for first place.

Zamora received 45 percent, only three percentage points higher than Gonzales’ 42 percent, falling within the RPMD’s margin of error.
