In BBM Vlog no.209, Marcos acknowledges that what rap legend Andrew E has been saying about his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, is true.

"Totoo yung sinasabi ni Andrew E, 'May isang salita.' 'Si Inday Sara may isang salita (What Andrew E has been saying is true, 'She has word of honor.' Inday Sara has word of honor)," Marcos, who in the video was seated right next to the 43-year-old Duterte.

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) standard-bearer was referring to the lyrics of Andrew E's song which he uses to introduce Duterte to the crowd during their campaign rallies these past three months.

The song goes, "Bagong Pilipinas , bagong mukha/ may prinsipyo, may isang salita/ kaibigan niyo kaibigan ko/ siya si Inday Sara Duterte (New Philippines, new face/ she has principles and word of honor/ your friend and mine/ she is Inday Sara Duterte)."

Referring to the lady mayor, Marcos said: "Pagka napag-usapan namin at nakapag-decide na siya, eh talagang yan ang gagawin (Once we've discussed something and she has decided on it, that's what she will really do)."

"Kaya't malaki ang tiwala ko sa kanya, hindi lamang dito sa pagkampanya pero sa mga darating na trabaho (That's why I trust her a lot, not only with this campaign, but with our future)," he added, as if anticipating their victories on election day.

On the subject of trust, Duterte shared similar feelings toward the Ilocano bet, who is 21 years her senior.

"Para sa akin it's based on mutual trust kasi iilan lang yung naniwala nang sinabi ko na hindi ako tatakbong pangulo and isa si Apo BBM doon sa naniwala sa akin (For me it's based on mutual trust because only a few believed my declaration that I won't run for president and Apo BBM was one of those who believed me)," she said.

In the same vlog, Marcos admitted that he and the presidential daughter weren't close at the start of the campaign but eventually warmed up to each other.

"Hindi kami masyadong malapit noon nung nagsimula, ngunit napalapit kami dahil magkasundo naman talaga kami (We weren't very close at first, but we warmed up to each other eventually because we're on the same page)," he said.

Duterte chairs the Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (CMD) party.
