Fil-Am rap artist Ez Mil kicks off PH tour

Filipino-American rap artist Ez Mil will kick off today, April 29, his homecoming tour dubbed "Ez Mil: Panalo Homecoming Tour 2022" where he will perform live across the Philippines for six dates.

The tour dates: April 29: New Frontier Theater in Cubao, Quezon City; May 1: SMX Davao; May 6: Albay Astrodome; May 13: Baguio City; and May 15: Subic Gymnasium. It is presented by Mak Entertainment Services.

"I am just super excited. This is something incredible for everyone lalo na sa mga local natin. Maraming salamat sa lahat na naging parte nito para maging posible ito. We will just have a lot of fun and I can't wait to get there," said Ez Mil, who is based in Las Vegas, Nevada, during a live press conference in Quezon City recently. He was accompanied by his younger sister Rave in his Manila tour.

On his 71 million views of "Panalo" music video, Ez said: "I still watch it, and it is still a spectacle. It's still gaining views."

Ez Mil, 23, has also dropped his latest single "Dalawampu't Dalawang OO (2200), another rap song that pays tribute to his hometown Olongapo City.

It is lifted from his sophomore studio album, DU4LI7Y, (Duality), out this summer, under FFP Records and distributed by Virgin Music/UMG. Prior, the album's lead single, "Re-Up," has been released.

"Dalawampu't Dalawang OO (2200)" is my own narration of a story filled with struggle. With this song, I hope listeners can feel the angst, and my pride, mixed with orchestral instruments fused with nerve wracking-beats. It's a song about the citizens of Olongapo first and foremost, the bad and the beauty - but it doesn't just stick to one city but can speak to all Filipinos as a whole. I've always been proud representing my hometown, 2200, so anyone who is proud of their city will definitely feel this," said Ez Mil, in an interview by Marissa Tomeo entitled "Filipino-American Musician Ez Mil Releases New Single, 'Dalawampu't Dalawang Oo (2200)" for broadwayworld.com.

Ez Mil added: "It's overwhelming, super grateful to everyone who's been very supportive of me, my music. Just the thought of coming home, man - it's a mixture of excitement and thrill that I can't shake off. Performing in the homeland is very special to me because I haven't done this before."

"I've always been proud to represent my hometown, my roots - I just want them to be happy and proud. I want to give back all the love and support that I've been getting, and I'm very excited to meet my fans in the Philippines, and see my family, friends - and everyone! Really looking forward to this, and just to do what I love doing and have fun!" the talented rap artist said in the same interview.
