Nueva Ecija drug sting nets three suspects, over P100,000 worth of shabu seized


ALIAGA, Nueva Ecija -- Three individuals were arrested inside a suspected drug den that also led to the confiscation of some P103,500 worth of shabu during a buy-bust operation launched by Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Nueva Ecija Provincial Office and the local police on Wednesday night, April 27.

Authorities identified the arrested suspects as Aster Bartolome, 36, resident of Brgy. San Eustacio, Aliaga, Nueva Ecija; Cocoy Bao , 42, of Brgy. San Rafael, Zaragosa, Nueva Ecija; and Ryan Lugod, 28, of Brgy. Santiago, Aliaga.

Raiders found seven heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing 15 grams amounting P103,500 from the suspects.

Other confiscated evidence were assorted drug paraphernalia and the marked money used by the poseur buyer.

Concerned citizens had reported to the police that there were illegal activities in the said area, prompting the authorities to place the subject under surveillance.

Operatives said arrested suspects will be detained in PDEA-3 Jail Facility and will be charged for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
