Actress Heart Evangelista visited Muntinlupa City recently to learn about the process of making local products.
The 37-year-old star, wife of Sorsogon Gov. Francis “Chiz” Escudero who is seeking a return to the Senate, went to the Muntinlupa City Technical Institute (MCTI), which provides livelihood training programs.
At the institute, Evangelista saw how local products were made including bottled bangus, gourmet tuyo, and peanut butter.
“Thank you for the enlightening experience, Trina Biazon and the ladies of Gender and Development!” Evangelista posted on Instagram.
She added, “The Muntinlupa City Technical Institute’s livelihood facility and a program founded by Trina Biazon produces gourmet tuyo, peanut butter, and Spanish style bangus. This program empowers and recognizes women, especially those who have endured difficulties, helping them transform those experiences into a more fruitful way of living.”
Through the city government’s Muntinlupa Gender and Development Office, women in the city are able to get livelihood training.
