18 Catholic schools in Iloilo endorse Leni-Kiko

ILOILO CITY – Eighteen Catholic schools in this city and in Iloilo province have endorsed presidential candidate Vice President Leni Robredo and vice presidential candidate Senator Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan.

“They best witness by their words and actions the values that are important to us as Catholic educators,” said Iloilo Educators Discern (ICED) in a statement.

After months of prayer and communal discernment, ICED believes that Robredo and Pangilinan have the qualities and values that can address the critical socio-political realities plaguing the country.

For ICED, Robredo and Pangilinan are capable leaders who espouse integrity, social responsibility, education, love of God, and love of country.

ICED strongly believes that if elected, Robredo and Pangilinan can address escalating poverty, graft and corruption, and the widespread disinformation.

Signatories to the endorsement include principals and school directors of Angelicum School Iloilo, Ateneo de Iloilo-Santa Maria Catholic School, Assumption Iloilo, Assumption Iloilo-Passi, Assumption Socio-Educational Center, Colegio de la Inmaculada Concepción, Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus, Colegio de San Jose, Eucharist King Academy, Holy Rosary Academy, Mary Immaculate Academy, St. Jerome Academy, St. Joseph School-Hijas de Jesus, St. Louise de Marillac School of Miagao, Saint Paul College-Barotac Viejo, St. Paul University of Iloilo, and St. Vincent Ferrer Seminary.

“We, therefore, enjoin our school communities—students, teachers, staff, administrators, parents, alumni, and friends—to likewise support these candidates, for the sake of God and country,” ICED added.
