‘Oplan Galugad’ inside Pangasinan prov’l jail conducted; 18 bladed weapons found


CAMP ANTONIO U SISON, Lingayen – Authorities found various bladed and pointed weapons during ‘Oplan Galugad’ inside the Pangasinan provincial jail in Brgy. Poblacion on Saturday, April 23.

The massive operation conducted by the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office (PPPO) was part of the Simultaneous Anti Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) to neutralize the criminals.

Provincial Director Colonel Richmond Tadina of PPPO said the Nationwide Simultaneous Anti Criminality Law Enforcement Operation (SACLEO) is an all-out police operation against drug personalities, most wanted persons, and carriers of loose firearms among others.

The ‘Oplan Galugad’ operation was jointly conducted by Police Regional Office 1 , PNPDEG, Camp Crame, QC, CIDG Pangasinan Provincial Field Unit, and other law enforcement units and the Pangasinan Provincial Police Office led by Tadina.

Authorities found and confiscated 18 bladed weapons, 32 pcs of scissors; 10 pcs of pointed weapons, 5 pcs screw drivers; 7 pliers; 8 pcs and 1 box blades; and many more.

The confiscated items were properly turned over to Jail Warden of Pangasinan Provincial Jail for proper disposition.

The PNP assured to monitor illegal activities and items smuggled inside the jail to keep Pangasinan an orderly, safe and peaceful province.

Colonel Tadina assured the public of the untiring commitment to curb all forms of criminality in this province.
