“I fully understand. People change their minds,” said Domagoso at the sidelines of his campaign sortie in Carles town, Iloilo province Monday, April 25.

Domagoso made the statement after the Mangundadatus led by Maguindanao Congressman Esmael “Toto” Mangudadatu abandoned him over the weekend and formally endorsed the candidacy of Robredo.

Domagoso confirmed that he spoke to Mangudadatu, who is running to regain his gubernatorial seat, prior to the shift of political allegiance to Robredo.

However, Domagoso did not disclose what they specifically discussed.

“Mga disenteng tao yun (They are decent people),” Domagoso added.

The Manila mayor is unfazed by the decision of his former political allies and expressed optimism that the people will deliver the votes.

Domagoso also stepped up his attacks against the Robredo camp.

“Ang mga matapobre na pink, hindi ko titigilan kasi nag sisinungaling sila (I will not stop against the pink elitist because they are liars),” said Domagoso.
