A day after her grand birthday rally that drew huge crowds to the Macapagal Blvd. in Pasay City, Vice President Leni Robredo thanked her supporters and volunteers, promising only to serve them honestly if she wins in May.

Event organizers estimated the crowd to have reached 412,000 kakampinks, who are jam-packed from J.W. Diokno Blvd. to the corner of Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) along Macapagal Blvd. for the “Araw Na10 ‘To” on Saturday, April 23.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) has yet to confirm the crowd estimate, but Robredo took to social media to express gratitude to supporters, volunteers, and artists.
“Ang maisusukli ko lang sa inyong lahat ay ang pagseserbisyo ng tapat na puno ng puso at sipag. Maraming salamat po (The only thing I can give to you all is honest service full of heart and hard work),” she wrote on Facebook with thankful emojis.
She thanked those who sent birthday greetings via phone and social media, saying she would have wanted to reply to each one but it’s impossible because there were so many.
“Please know that your well wishes are very much valued and appreciated. Maraming salamat po (Thank you very much),” Robredo wrote, and followed it with three pink hearts.

The Vice President made sure her supporters know that she was aware of their sacrifices yesterday.
“Maraming salamat din sa lahat na (Thank you to all the) volunteers who made the rally yesterday a success- sa lahat na nagpuyat (to those who lost sleep) the night before para ayusin ang venue, sa lahat na naglakad papunta sa Macapagal, tumayo ng maraming oras sa init, uhaw at gutom, mga nahirapan umuwi sa kanilang bahay (to fix the venue, to those who walked to Macapagal, to those who stood for a long time under the heat, thirsty and hungry, those who had a hard time going home),” Robredo said.
“Maraming salamat din sa lahat na nagpapagod para mag house to house at nakikiusap tao sa tao, puso sa puso (Thank you to all who got tired to do house to house and convincing person to person, heart to heart),” she added.
The Vice President’s rallies have always been star-studded, and her birthday rally drew the brightest stars in the industry with big-named celebrities and influencers gracing the event.
Comedian-TV host Vice Ganda, Diamond Star Maricel Soriano, Angel Locsin, celebrity couple Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid, Sharon Cuneta, and Gary Valenciano called on the big crows to support Robredo's candidacy.
Box office stars and reel- and real-life couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, as well as Liza Soberano, appeared on video to endorse Robredo’s presidential bid.
Venice Film Festival best actor awardee John Arcilla, best known for his role as “Heneral Luna,” also delivered an impassioned speech for Robredo.
“Maraming salamat sa ating (Thank you very much to our) volunteer entertainers na nagpasaya sa okasyon natin. Nakakataba ng puso ang kanilang pagtataya na walang hinihingi ng anumang kapalit (who make our occasions happy. For them to take a stand without asking for anything in return is heartwarming),” the Vice President added.
