At least 3,000 supporters on Saturday took part in a motorcade here to drum up the candidacy of Marcos.

“We are 100 percent sure that he is going to win,” said Berlie Lauron, campaign manager of Marcos.

“We have been going around the province of Cebu and we have never heard a single negative comment against Marcos,” added Lauron.

Marcos said the Filipino Family Club International Inc. that Marcos formed will spell the difference.

“We have millions of members worldwide and everyone is putting their own contribution to help the candidacy of FLM,” Lauron said.

Lauron said Marcos’ supporters are undeterred even if he was not able to personally campaign on the ground.

Agents of the National Bureau of Investigation arrested Marcos two years ago for alleged violation of the Revised Optometry Law of 1995.

Marcos allegedly violated the law when he distributed eyeglasses without the approval and permission from the Philippine Association of Optometry.

Lauron said Marcos only answered the clamor of his supporters when he decided to run for senate.

“He was forced to run because of his supporters. We are using our own resources for his campaign. It’s really pure volunteerism,” said Lauron.

If given the chance, Marcos will focus on crafting measures that will provide urban housing, sustainable livelihood and quality education, Lauron said.

Lauron said Marcos has been helping the underprivileged even before he decided to join politics.

“Win or lose, he (Marcos) will continue giving help,” said Lauron.
