A fire hit the Uptown Mall in Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig for the second time in less than a month.
According to the Taguig City Fire Station, the fire hit the Kidzoona indoor playland on the third floor of Uptown Mall, located at the corner of 36th St. and 9th Avenue in BGC, shortly before midnight on April 22.


Firefighters raised the first alarm at 12:23 a.m. on April 23 and the fire was put under control at 12:42 a.m. and put out at 1:01 a.m.
The fire station said an assembly in Kidzoona was partially burned. Investigators estimated the damage to property at P200,000. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
A total of 29 fire trucks and one Collapse Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) truck, coming from BFP, local government units and volunteer groups, and four ambulances responded to the incident.
This is the second time in less than one month that a fire hit Uptown Mall. Last March 29, a fire broke out from a non-operational movie theater on the third floor of the mall. The fire damaged P1 million worth of property.
