Family dog Rocco, a pug who turned six years old on Friday, April 22, was also a trending topic.

“Happy birthday, @lenirobredo!! I really want to include your most important endorser in every drawing I make. I hope I did justice to include him. Wish you all the best, Madam President!,” @robredosimp tweeted, while posting a caricature of the Robredo family, together with the late former Interior Secretary Jesse Robredo.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRESIDENT LENI ROBREDO your campaign has brought our family closer together. you are the gift that keeps on giving! ikaw ang aming liwanag sa dilim, @lenirobredo!,” @4sis4leni added, referring to the Rivermaya song “Liwanag Sa Dilim” that has since become the campaign’s unofficial anthem.

“Happy birthday to the duly elected Vice President of the Philippines, @lenirobredo #HBDPresidentLeni,” Fr. Fiel Pareja (@frfielpareja) wrote.

“Maligayang kaarawan sa susunod na presidente ng Pilipinas! @lenirobredo #ArawNa10To #HBDPresidentLeni #IpanaloNa10ParaSaLahat,” businesswoman and ardent Robredo supporter Nina (@theninaellaine) posted.

“There are many worlds, but they share the same sky - one sky, one destiny, one country (Philippines), one President. Meteor shower on your birthday, VP @lenirobredo even the universe is celebrating for your life. Happy Birthday! #HBDPresidentLeni #IpanloNa10ToParaSaLahat,” Jema Rose Miranda (@jemarosemiranda) wrote with pink heart emoticon.

A supporter also greeted the Vice President for her 25 years of being a lawyer, reposting a screenshot of an earlier post wherein Robredo shared receiving news that she passed the Bar exam on midnight of her birthday in 1997.

But it’s not only the Vice President who has been receiving birthday greetings. Greetings also flooded on Twitter for the Robredo family dog, Rocco.

“Rocco turns six today!! Happy birthday, my darling!!!!,” Tricia Robredo (@jpgrobredo), Rocco’s fur mommy, posted.

She accompanied the post with a picture of her, Rocco, and sister Aika.

“Happy birthday to Rocco, the most NR, passive-aggressive living creature I know,” Aika added.

Many of Robredo’s supporters spent until past midnight fixing the venue of her grand rally along Macapagal Blvd. in Pasay City.

Thousands of her supporters did a nationwide house-to-house campaign on Saturday morning while a street party is expected to be attended by hundreds of thousands of kakampinks from around National Capital Region (NCR) and South Luzon this afternoon.

The star-studded event will be the first time the Robredo campaign asked supporters to wear different colors to symbolize their dreams for the country. It will also signify Robredo’s readiness to work with all, regardless of political colors.

The Robredo’s People Council (RPC), the volunteer support group of the Vice President’s campaign, said that the grand rally will not be a birthday bash, but “a celebration of the people’s solidarity in ushering in a government that will truly serve the people.”

RPC chapters nationwide and worldwide will celebrate Robredo’s birthday by staging different activities and festivities.

“Pasasalamat ito sa mga taong buong tapang, taos-puso at walang pagod ang pangangampanya para sa magandang bukas na hatid ng isang gobyernong tapat (This is a thanksgiving to all the people who show courage, who wholeheartedly and tirelessly campaign for a better tomorrow brought by an honest government),” RPC coordinator Georgina Hernandez said.
