The daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo, Aika Robredo, has sought the assistance of the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to get to the bottom of the spread of her supposed sex video, the latter's lawyer confirmed.

In a statement, lawyer Pingki Bernabe, a co-counsel for Aika, confirmed that they requested the NBI to look into the sudden surge of posts claiming to contain sex videos of their client.
"These posts claim they contain links that would direct the public to lewd videos allegedly showing our client in a scandalous post or act," she said.
According to Bernabe, the mere use of Aika's name in these online posts is tantamount to gender-based online sexual harassment under Republic Act No. 11313 or the Safe Spaces Act.
Section 3(e) and Section 12 of the Safe Spaces Act contemplate unwanted sexual remarks and comments online as gender-based online sexual harassment.
"Whether or not there is an actual video is not even relevant," she said.
Bernabe said that while Aika is never one to seek special treatment, they hope that the NBI would identify those behind the social media posts.
Meanwhile, Robredo's counsel expressed appreciation for the support Aika is getting from various individuals and groups.
"Bawal ang bastos. Lalong mali ang panggugulo sa ating eleksyon (We can't allow this rudeness. It's especially wrong to mess up our elections)," Bernabe said.
"Bilang mga abogado ni Ms. Aika, babantayan natin ito (As lawyers of Ms. Aika, we will keep our eyes open)," she added.
