MB Daily News Update: PH remains at minimal risk for Covid-19
Despite an earlier warning about the possibility of another Covid-19 surge by mid-May due to relaxed compliance with health protocols, the Department of Health (DOH) reported that the country remained at minimum risk for the coronavirus.
This was echoed by the OCTA Research Group, which noted that Metro Manila’s risk level was still very low.
Meanwhile, pre-election survey frontrunner Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. heaved a sigh of relief after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) junked the last disqualification case that was filed against him.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) chided social media giant Facebook for its imprudence in flagging an April 14 post by National Security Adviser Hermogenes Esperon, urging Filipinos to unite to put an end to communist insurgency.
