Miss Universe Philippines unveils new crown

Presenting the La Mer en Majesté crown

After the fashion fest that took place during its press presentation, Miss Universe Philippines unveils its new crown. Dubbed the La Mer en Majesté, the crown is a product of the partnership between the pageant organization and luxury brand Jewelmer.

“The Miss Universe Philippines Organization and Jewelmer envision this crown as an homage to her majesty, the sea, for she is the queen of the elements,” Miss Universe Philippines posted. “Generous and powerful, she provided the world with this precious gem and contributed the crowned jewel to this exceptional masterpiece, the illustrious Miss Universe Philippines crown.”

Mimicking the beauty of the sea, the La Mer en Majesté crown boasts a golden color and highlights the National Gem of the Philippines, the pearl. A true work of art, the crown is dotted with golden South Sea pearls, described as “a radiant symbol of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, capturing the very spirit of the Filipinos.”

In its previous editions, the Miss Universe Philippines used the Filipina crown, crafted by Villarica Pawnshop, which sports a design that resembled the Philippine flag.

The La Mer en Majesté crown will be awarded to Miss Universe Philippines 2022 pageant’s winner by the end of its coronation night happening at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 30.
