Mayor Isko youth volunteers intensify campaign, brave storm and rough waters in Zamboanga

Youth volunteers on board the “Bus ni Isko” continued to travel around the country to campaign for the presidential bid of Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso as election day neared.

ON BOARD: Aksyon Demokratiko candidates led by its standard bearer Isko Moreno Domagoso and his running mate Doc Willie Ong ride the “Bus Ni Isko” upon meeting the volunteers during a sortie at the municipal hall of San Francisco, Agusan del Sur. The “Bus Ni Isko” is part of the campaign of the Switch To Isko movement, wherein buses travel around the country to gather support from people in different places and localities through various activities like Cine Caravan, T-shirt printing, sticker and poster distributions.

Ces Bayan of the group Ama ni Isko, team leader of the Visayas-Mindanao leg of “Bus ni Isko”, said they braved the storm and rough waters as they passed through Dapitan City, Zamboanga del Norte last week.

Bayan said the youth volunteers remained dedicated and committed to continuing and finishing the electoral campaign “come hell or high water.”

The youth campaigners of “Bus ni Isko” Visayas-Mindanao leg also started distributing T—shirts, aprons, and other campaign materials in Dumaguete City as they try to convince the public to “Switch to Isko.” “Bus ni Isko”, which was launched last April 4, is a 20-day road campaign initiative where youth volunteers will travel across the country’s region to convince young Filipino voters to shift votes to Domagoso.

The bus campaign is aimed at symbolizing Domagoso’s journey, starting from him being a scavenger to pedicab driver then actor and politician.

The campaign initiative also aims to convince the younger generation to be more proactive and play important roles in society.
