MB Daily News Update: 'We're finishing the race' – presidential bets
With about three weeks before the national and local elections, Presidential candidates Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, Senator Panfilo Lacson, and former defense secretary Norberto Gonzales insisted that they were not backing down, and will finish their respective campaigns until the May 9 polls.
Moreno and Lacson also lashed at the camp of presidential rival Vice President Leni Robredo, who is running second to former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. in the pre-election surveys, for allegedly raiding their ranks of supporters.
The Robredo camp, meantime, charged back at the “theatrics” of Domagoso, Lacson, and Gonzales, and dismissed their allegations against the Vice President as “falsehoods”/
The death toll due to tropical depression Agaton rose anew, and is now at 172, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
A health official said the administration of a second booster shot for the elderly, immunocompromised, and frontline healthcare workers will likely start this coming week.
