Patar Public Beach in Bolinao reaches maximum capacity; arriving visitors advised to divert to other destinations


BOLINAO, Pangasinan -- Tourism office here advised the public on Holy Thursday to divert their destination following reports that Patar Public Beach already reached its maximum carrying capacity.

According to the advisory of the Bolinao Tourism, as of 12:00 noon on April 14, 2022, Patar Public Beach already reached its maximum carrying capacity.

Thousands of visitors/ beachgoers from nearby towns, and other provinces arrived at Bolinao beach early in the morning to enjoy the beach.

Patar Beach is a popular destination in Pangasinan excellent for swimming. Magnificent sunset viewing is also famous in this area because of its location facing the West Philippine Sea.

The municipality of Bolinao prioritizes welfare and protection of people, especially on the observance of Holy Week, as it strictly implements the 12-hour access to the public beach from 6:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. as per Sangguniang Resolution No. 2022-07.

LGU here also advised tourists, visitors and locals to refrain from staying on the coastal waters beyond the said operational time.

The tourism office said that its purpose is to avoid risks brought by the rising sea level, sea waves and other coastal hazards like drowning, sting or bite of harmful sea creatures.

LGU Bolinao aims for a safe and sound tourist destination.

Meanwhile, cottages are full.

“Yes po, puno na din po ang mga cottages simula po kaninang umaga,” a tourism staff said.
