In an advisory posted on the Hijos Del Nazareno Facebook page, the group said the motorcade will be held at 12 a.m. on Good Friday.

The group discouraged devotees from going barefoot and to just wear slippers or shoes.

Devotees were also asked to wear face mask and maintain physical distancing.

The group also appealed to devotees to be disciplined and make solemn the occasion.

The Black Nazarene is a life-sized, dark-colored, wooden sculpture of Jesus Christ that was brought to Manila by Augustinian priests in 1607. It has been known to be miraculous by its Filipino devotees and its procession is being attended by millions of devotees, making it as one of the country’s biggest annual religious procession.
