Claudine Barretto: 'Our whole family is BBM'

Actress Claudine Barretto, who's running for councilor in Olongapo City, recently expressed support for Presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.

In her Instagram post, the 42-year-old star proudly declared: "BBM PO AKO."

An online user commented: "I have loved you ever since and I respect your choice, Clau. But my vote goes to VP Leni."

The netizen related that had Rico Yan, Claudine's ex-boyfriend, been alive, he'd choose Vice President Leni Robredo.

"Remember? Rico Yan stood up against the Marcoses and refused to endorse any of them."

The social media follower continued in another comment: "Will respect your choice, Clau, but Rico will not be happy and proud of it had he been alive! Watch this video of Rico standing up against the Marcoses, The Correspondent 1998: https://youtu.be/yO3mZNZcNh8."

This prompted Claudine to share how Rico looked up to President Duterte, her daughter Sara, and Bongbong.

She added, "Our whole family is BBM, only Marjorie and her kids are Leni. Tita Sita Yan & I & my Mom BBM rin po. Pls let us respect everybody."

The netizen then responded, reiterating: “Hi, Clau. God knows how much I love you and Rico. Sobra. But please watch this docu he did for The Correspondent in 1998: https://youtu.be/yO3mZNZcNh8 . You know how passionate he was in serving the country and the youth, Clau. Please watch the video. I respect your choice coz I love you very much as much as I love Rico. But please do watch the video.”

As of writing, Claudine's original comment is no longer available.

It was replaced with: “RICO IS A TRUE BLOODED MARCOS & Admires BBM also PRESIDENT DUTERTE When we met all in Person in Davao.”

The said exchange received mixed reactions. It even trended on Twitter.
