3 wanted for rape arrested in Las Pinas and Paranaque City


Three men wanted for rape were arrested in Las Pinas and Paranaque City on Tuesday, April 12.

In Las Pinas City, the father and son suspects arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS) and Station Intelligence Section (SIS) were identified as James Alex Edades, 21, and his father Alexander, 57.

James Alex, tagged as the Top 2 Most Wanted person for the second quarter of 2022, was arrested at about 10:45 a.m. while his father, labeled as the Top 10 Wanted person, was apprehended at about 11:00 a.m.

A warrant of arrest was served against them at their house in Vergonville Subdivision, Barangay Pulanglupa Uno, Las Pinas City.

According to the city police chief, Col. Jaime Santos, James Alex has a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of rape with no bail recommended and three counts of acts of lasciviousness with a bail of P252, 000.

Santos said the older Edades, who was also facing three counts of acts of lasciviousness, has a bail recommended at P540,000.

The city police chief said the warrant of arrest was issued against them by Judge Elizabeth Yu-Guray of Las Pinas Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 202 on March 11, 2022.

In Paranaque City, Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, said the suspect, identified as Ricky Ace Tidoy, 20, and labeled by the police as theTop 5 Most Wanted person, was arrested at about 4:30 p.m. at San Vicente Ferrer, San Antonio Valley I, Barangay San Antonio.

Sebastian said Judge Xerex Garcia of Paranaque City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 295 issued a warrant of arrest against the suspect for the crime of rape on February 23, 2022 with no bail recommended.
