Right on the heels of tropical depression Agaton, now comes typhoon Basyang (Malakas, international name) which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) around 10 a.m. on Tuesday, April 12, 2022.
Meanwhile, more casualties and damage were reported as a result of Agaton’s rampage, leaving 25 dead and over 150 missing in Baybay City in Leyte.
As such, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) has focuses its disaster relief operations in the province of Leyte, which sustained extensive damage due to Agaton.
A fourth shot for full vaccinated persons, and booster shots for minors could be in the offing after the Department of Health (DOH) said it has already submitted additional pieces of evidence to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which has the authority to approve the administration of the additional shots.
The country also welcomes a fresh batch of 8,241 new lawyers after the results of the 2020-2021 Bar exams were released.
