Andrea Brillantes explains viral 'Lose You To Love Me' video

Andrea Brillantes has set the record straight, revealing the actual reason why she uploaded a video of her singing Selena Gomez’s “Lose You To Love Me" some months ago.

The 18-year-old actress, who was noticeably displaying serious puffy eyes in the video, captioned it, “Kagigising ko lang?”

It caused huge commotion among fans as it came out only a short while after a photo of her screen partner Seth Fedelin spending time with Francine Diaz and her family, surfaced on social media.

Many believe Andrea was letting the track “explain” her, Seth, and Francine's situation.

In her 10-minute "my side of the truth" video, Andrea shared, "I admit I made an honest mistake and that was showing my emotions online, sa public. Kaya, this is why, you should always think before posting. At aaminin ko, my mind was too clouded with sorrow that I forgot to think about what will happen next or how this could affect me and the people around me."

Andrea admitted that she had no way reaching out to Seth and Francine when she saw the picture.

So, she made a TikTok video, which made everything "worse."

"I know na I should have asked first, I should have consulted my managers before posting it or sana nanahimik na lang talaga ako. Pero sana man lang, guys, once maisip niyo na tao lang din ako. And it was my first heartbreak so hindi ko talaga alam kung papaano siya iha-handle," she explained.

Andrea revealed that she and Seth were an item but that they broke up October last year.

Though it was "painful," she pointed out that it was a "mutual decision," explaining they weren't growing as individuals.

They ended on good terms, she reiterated.

Andrea said she couldn't blame netizens who were throwing shade at her because they didn't know about her and Seth's relationship.

"Masakit na sinasabi ng ibang tao na wala akong karapatan kasi never naman naging kami, masakit. Kasi actually, naging kami. Naging kami for two years and three months," she said. "Kaya nga I used that song because the lyrics in that song was the most accurate and most relevant lyrics to what I was feeling at that time."

In any case, Andrea maintained, "Wala din naman akong sinisisi. I never meant to pull anyone down. Ayokong manira ng tao. Nagulat lang talaga ako and I was just really hurt kasi kaibigan ko pa yung kasama."

"Pero I had no bad intentions. Di ko lang talaga naisip because I was acting based on my emotions, and pagkakamali ko yun."

"Kaya, guys, please take this lesson from me, learn to reflect, to pause, and to breath when everything is falling out of place."

She advised her followers to not do anything "foolish."

"Don't do anything without knowing the whole truth," she related.

"Pero para sa akin naman it is never foolish to post your emotions online because sadness is a natural and a valid feeling for a human being to feel."

She added: "Pero kasi since we live in a generation where everything you do and say can be used against you in a negative way, you should always be cautious with your actions kasi whether you had good intentions it won't matter na once it's out sa public. Because people will always twist everything."
