The new Covid-19 vaccination site for children aged five to 11 years old in Valenzuela City is the Pasolo Elementary School.
The transfer to the new vaccination site for the 5-11 age group from Malinta Elementary School was made as the Malinta Elementary School is now being used as a temporary evacuation site for the families affected by the fire incident at Dulong Tangke Street, Malinta on Saturday, April 9.
The vaccination for the children will proceed as scheduled and parents can register their kids for their Covid-19 jabs through valtrace.appcase.net.
The local government said that the vaccinations for the 5-11 age group will be held in Pasolo Elementary School until further notice.
As of Sunday, April 10, there were 449 families staying at Malinta Elementary School, according to the local government.
It said that a total of 1,304 families were affected by the fire.
The city has provided aid such as food and comfort packs, hot meals, and hygiene kits to the families, while some city health doctors also did the rounds to attend to residents with medical conditions.
The Valenzuela City Fire Station (VCFS) said that the cause of fire is still being determined.
Meanwhile, the city also announced that all vaccination sites will be closed from April 14 to 17 in observance of the Holy Week.
