Muntinlupa LGU wants strict adherence to health protocols during Visita Iglesia
The Muntinlupa City government urged residents and visitors to follow the minimum public health protocols during Visita Iglesia, or the practice of visiting churches in observance of the Holy Week.
Muntinlupa City Health Office (CHO) acting chief Dr. Juancho Bunyi said people should observe health protocols including the wearing of face masks and sanitizing their hands.

The National Capital Region is under Alert Level 1, the lowest community quarantine level that allows businesses and establishments to operate up to 100 percent capacity.
Bunyi said this should not be a reason for people to lower their guard against Covid-19 amid the threat of new variants recorded in other countries.
He said health personnel from the CHO will be deployed to churches and different stations in the city to provide medical assistance and ensure the adherence to health guidelines.
In addition, personnel from the Muntinlupa police, Muntinlupa Traffic Management Bureau, and Muntinlupa Public Order and Safety Office will conduct roving operations and will be stationed in strategic locations to provide security and assistance.
As of April 10, Muntinlupa has only two active Covid-19 cases listed in Barangays Poblacion and Alabang, out of the total 39,917 confirmed cases, 39,301 recoveries, and 614 deaths since the pandemic started in 2020.
Seven of the city's nine barangays are now Covid-19-free. These are Tunasan, Putatan, Bayanan, Ayala Alabang, Cupang, Buli, and Sucat.
The Muntinlupa City government had earlier said it will deploy mobile vaccination to increase the number of booster shot recipients and vaccination coverage among 12 to 17 years old.
Mobile vaccination will be conducted in the following schools: Muntinlupa Business High School, Muntinlupa Science High School, Pedro E. Diaz High School, Muntinlupa National High School (MNHS)-Main, and MNHS-Annex.
For booster shots, the city government has coordinated with private companies and workplaces for the conduct of the vaccination drive. The Rolling Bakuna will visit local schools for teaching and non-teaching personnel, construction sites, public terminals for jeepney and tricycle drivers, markets, BPO companies, banks and convenience stores.
