LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Provincial Government of Pangasinan has reopened the annual Tourism and Trade Expo on Tuesday after a two-year break due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The opening was in conjunction with the province's 442nd anniversary celebration of provincehood.
Governor Amado Espino III led the opening of the 13th Pangasinan Tourism and Trade Expo located at the back of the Veterans’ Memorial Park in Lingayen town.
The micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) and entrepreneurs are expected to get help from the expo in showcasing their products for additional income.
“Sa pamamagitan nitong expo, maaaring mag-enjoy ang ating mga kababayan at nabibigyan din ng pagkakataon ang mga MSMEs na kumita,” said Espino.
The stalls at expo are free of charge.
The Tourism and Trade Expo features various Pangasinan brand products, arts and crafts, tourism related establishments/services, One-Town, One Product (OTOP) of Local Government Units in the province among others.
It is also part of the province’s month-long celebration of Pistay Dayat (Sea Festival) and will run until May 1.
Meanwhile, Espino reminded the public to observe minimum health protocols during their visit at the expo.
