MB Daily News Update: Race for presidency now between BBM, Leni – Pulse Asia official


It’s beginning to look like a two-way race for the presidency between former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Leni Robredo, after a Pulse Asia official virtually dashed the hopes of the other presidential bets Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso, and Senators Panfilo Lacson and Manny Pacquiao.

A majority of Filipinos is hoping that the economy will improve, according to a survey by the Social Weather Stations (SWS), as only seven percent said it will worsen in the next 12 months.

Public utility (PU) drivers need no longer worry about the fuel subsidy they were going to get from the government after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) granted the petition of the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) for an exemption from the election spending ban.

And it looks like the rainy days aren’t over as the state weather agency said scattered rains will continue to prevail over Visayas, Mindanao and some parts of Luzon due a low pressure area (LPA)-inter tropical convergence zone (ITCZ). It also reported that an LPA approaching the country has developed into a tropical depression.
