‘Bridgerton’ breaks weekly English show record on Netflix; ‘Business Proposal’ No. 1 anew


The second season of “Bridgerton” broke the record for the most viewed English show while Korean drama “Business Proposal” reigned on top of the non-English list for the third straight week.

Netflix released its Global Top 10 list for March 28 to April 3 of the most watched shows and films on the video streaming platform.

According to Netflix. “Bridgerton” season 2 garnered 251.74 milloin hours viewed for the week to break the most watched English show title. It entered the top 10 in 93 countries.

The Korean global hit “Squid Game” holds the overall weekly record with 571.76 million hours viewed, according to Netflix.

In the top 10 non-English TV list, “Business Proposal,” Ahn Hyo-seop, Kim Se-jeong, Kim Min-kyu and Seol In-ah, is No. 1 for the third consecutive week with 32.52 million hours viewed.

Korean dramas “Twenty Five Twenty One: Season 1” is No. 2 with 26.21 million hours viewed, “Forecasting Love and Weather: Season 1” is No. 4 with 15.02 million hours viewed, “Thirty-Nine: Season 1” is No. 5 with 13.51 million hours viewed, the zombie series “All of Us Are Dead: Season 1” is No. 7 with 9.43 million hours viewed, and “Juvenile Justice: Season 1” is No. 8 with 9.34 million hours viewed.
