2 women yield over P20-M shabu in Nueva Ecija buy-bust


Authorities seized over P20 million worth of shabu from two women during a buy-bust operation in Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija on Wednesday, April 6.

Brig. Gen. Matthew P. Baccay, Central Luzon Police director, identified the arrested suspects as Sittie Mimbisa Pindatun, 30, and Nor-an Hajinor Bilal.

The duo were nabbed by a team of operatives from Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group, and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region 3 (PDEA 3) at Lakewood Subdivision, Barangay Sumacab Este in Cabanatuan City.

According to the report of Col. Jess Mendez, acting Nueva Ecija police director, three kilos of shabu with a street value of P20,400,000 and a P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money were confiscated from the suspects.

Police said the two women will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (The Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)

Brig. Gen. Baccay said the entire force of Central Luzon Police has been aggressive in its campaign against all forms of illegal drugs in the region.

"Our campaign against illegal drugs, which is one of the main operational thrusts under the Intensified Cleanliness Policy of our Chief PNP continues to be aggressive and effective because of the intensified intelligence gathering and operations, as well as constant coordination with the PDEA,” Baccay added.
