BACOLOD CITY - Police is eyeing the possibility of a love triangle behind the killing of a jeepney driver at Purok Proper South, Barangay Taloc, Bago City, Negros Occidental on Sunday.

The victim was identified as Jerry Pasiolan, 56, a former miller and a resident of Barangay Taloc.
Lt. Col. Joem Malong, Bago City police chief, said the incident happened when an unidentified male passenger, who was not wearing a face mask, flagged down Pasiolan’s jeepney a few meters away from where he was shot.
After the incident, the gunman disembarked from the vehicle, and rode a motorcycle as a getaway vehicle, Malong said.
Police recovered from the scene two fired cartridges and a bullet of a .45 caliber.
The incident was witnessed by eight other passengers, including two minors, according to Malong.
Malong said they are looking into a crime of passion, since the victim had a previous affair, according to his wife. However, Malong said they could not confirm the angle since the police have yet to find clues.
Meanwhile, two other persons were also gunned down in Barangay Bata here on Saturday and Barangay Vista Alegre here, the following day.
