Power interruption to affect Antipolo City communities

Several communities in Antipolo City will have no power for three to four hours on Friday, April 1 due to the scheduled upgrading of facilities of the Manila Electric Company (Meralco).

In its advisory, Meralco announced that power service interruption is scheduled to happen from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. in portions of Woodlands Avenue inside Palmera Woodlands Subdivision in Barangay Cupang, Antipolo City.

Power interruption by Meralco will also affect a portion of Angelia Drive in San Lorenzo Homes Subdivision, Barangay San Jose, Antipolo City.

Similar maintenance works by Meralco will happen from 9 a.m. until 12 noon in the Cogeo area; Sitio Taguisan and Marcos Highway in Barangay Bagong Nayon; and Sitio Manalite in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Antipolo City.

The power service interruption, according to the notice of Meralco to the affected barangays, will be conducted to improve the flexibility and reliability of the power distribution firm’s electric system in the areas affected by the upgrading activities.
