A 36-year-old mechanic helper was shot dead by a motorcycle-riding gunman in Tondo, Manila on Tuesday, March 29.
Police said the victim, Alshock Tayo, a resident of Brgy. 50, Tondo, sustained several gunshot wounds in the body and was declared dead on arrival at the Tondo Medical Center.
Police Lt. Adonis Aguila, chief of Manila Police District (MPD) homicide section, said that the shooting happened at around 2:00 p.m.
According to the police report, the victim was at his garage when the assailant, wearing a black long sleeve and red jogging pants, suddenly arrived on board a pink motorcycle and shot him several times.
The suspect sped off after the shooting.
Probers are conducting further investigation to establish the identity of the suspect. They are eyeing illegal drugs as a possible motive behind the killing.
