MB Daily News Update: Bird-flu outbreak declared

The Department of Agriculture (DA) declared a bird-flu outbreak after it reported increasing number of avian flu cases mostly in Central Luzon.

Taal Volcano has calmed down a bit, but the Philippine Institute of Volcanology (Phivolcs) is only inclined to lower its alert status to level 2 if it no longer erupts in the next two weeks.

President Duterte has named the party-list groups in the House of Representatives which are reportedly “legal fronts” of communists.

And the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) has presented a new set of “solutions” to the perennial traffic problem in the metropolis.
