The Manila Mayor assured Mindanaoans that he would provide a stable supply of electricity, access to clean and potable water, and better internet connectivity.

“There are areas here, would you believe, based on our data given to me, eight percent lang halos yung may access sa (almost only eight percent has access to) clean, potable water. And of course, last is the internet connectivity because it creates opportunity and commerce online,” he said.

"An opportunity for any John Does and Mary o mga Petra o Pedro na makapaghanap-buhay (to get a job) online. So, these are the things na sana maibigay din at maramdaman din sa Mindanao pagdating ng araw, (that we wish to give to Mindanao in the future),” Domagoso said.

He had previously said that his first two years will focus on building facilities that will provide the minimum basic needs of the people such as quality housing, education, health, as well as jobs, to increase the human development index.

On issues such as dealing with terror and bandit groups in the region, Domagoso said he will try to talk to them, saying Filipinos should not be fighting one another.

“Well, we don’t negotiate with terrorists definitely but if they want to make sense, e wala naman masama magkaroon tayo ng tenga kung kanino man na gustong baka magbago ng buhay o baka pagod na rin na sumabak sa ano mang mapanganib na adventure ng buhay nila (there is nothing wrong with us giving an ear to anyone who wants to change their life or may be tired of sowing terrorist activities),” he said.

“So, at the end of the day, isang bansa, isang bandila (one country, one flag). Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao. We will not allow disintegration or yung pagkakahiwa-hiwalay ng ating bansa (or the separation of our country), geographically and as citizens of this country,” he said.

Domagoso and the Aksyon Demokratiko slate were in Northern Mindanao as part of their campaign sortie.
