It seems that the Will Smith-Chris Rock issue at the 94th Oscar Awards is far from over!

This after the New York Post reported that Will may be asked to hand back his best actor trophy after his live onstage assault of Chris last March 27.

A Hollywood source reacted to The Post after the incident. The source said: “It’s basically assault. Everyone was just so shocked in the room, it was so uncomfortable.”

The same source added: “I think Will would not want to give his Oscar back, but who knows what will happen now."

Reports said that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which presents the annual awards, has strict guidelines in its code of conduct.

Will shocked fans when he slapped Chris at the Oscars stage following a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett Smith.

Later, Will won the best actor for his portrayal as the father of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams in the film "King Richard." He has apologized to the academy for the altercation during his acceptance speech.

The Academy Awards has tweeted: "The Academy does not condone violence of any form. Tonight we are delighted to celebrate our 94th Academy Awards winners, who deserve this moment of recognition from their peers and movie lovers around the world."
