BTS flies to US for Grammy Awards, Las Vegas concert; J-Hope to follow later


K-pop superstars BTS flew to the US on March 28 ahead of the 64th Grammy Awards and their Las Vegas concert.

Five of the seven BTS members arrived at Incheon International Airport Terminal 2 on the afternoon of March 28. RM, Jin, Suga, Jimin, and V were together for their flight to Los Angeles.

Jungkook was confirmed to have departed for the US earlier than the other members due to preparations related to the Grammy Awards.

J-Hope, who was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 24, was unable to leave with the group as he is still under isolation for seven days as required by health authorities. He is expected to be released from isolation on March 30.

“J-Hope is planning to take part in activities scheduled to take place next month once his at-home treatment concludes,” Big Hit Music earlier announced.

Korean media outlet Newsen streamed on YouTube the arrival of BTS members at Incheon airport.

BTS will attend and perform at the 64th Grammy Awards, which will be held on April 3 at the MGM Grand Arena Garden in Las Vegas.

The Recording Academy earlier announced that BTS will perform at the music awards show that will be hosted by Trevor Noah.

For this year’s Grammys, they are nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for their hit song "Butter.”

After the Grammys, BTS will hold their “BTS Permission to Dance on Stage-Las Vegas” concert on April 8, 9, 15 and 16 at Allegiant Stadium.
