Mayor Isko inaugurates Tondominium II, seeks to replicate it throughout PH

Manila City Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso officially launched the Tondominium II on Sunday, March 27.

The 42-square meter, two-bedroom units were distributed to selected residents of Manila.

"Ang pakiusap ko lang simpleng simple: alagaan niyo, panatilihin niyong malinis (One thing I ask for them is to take good care of it and to keep it clean)," he said during the inauguration.

Tondominium II cost almost P1 billion to complete and is located in one of the world’s largest slums. Each unit has two bedrooms, a dining room, a kitchen, a bathroom, and a living room.

Each unit will be paid for P2,000 per month, and the accumulated funds will be refundable when the beneficiary decides to move out.

The Aksyon Demokratiko standard bearer said he wants to replicate the housing project throughout the country if elected as president in the May 2022 elections.
