Kyra is small but incredible. She is dubbed by her supporters as the “international girl wonder” of Hawaii and the Philippines.
At the time of writing, Kyra is preparing for her flight to receive the Global Young Ambassador Award. The Caroline Makaka SIMA Global Women of Action Award (She Inspires Me Movement) will be held in Long Beach, CA on April 2.
Kyra is the youngest Awardee and the very first recipient of this legendary and noble Award. This event goes hand-in-hand to celebrate the International Women’s Month. (www.sheinspiresmeawards.org)
For her background, Kyra’s family moved to Hawaii in the year 2000. Kyra was born on May 14, 2014 and the youngest in the family with two big brothers. She has a unique sense of humor and great memorization skills. Kyra is a charismatic little wonder. People love her, and she also loves mingling and talking to people around her. She is only seven years old, but she has done a lot. Literally, she is already adding feathers to her cap.
Kyra’s credentials will undoubtedly flood a 2-pager resume as she is literally busy as a bee, slaying the Tinseltown left and right. You will be definitely be overwhelmed with her very inspiring achievements and passion as a young leader.
Take these for instance. At the very young age of 4 when most of the kids are playing with their dolls, Kyra joined a beauty pageant in Hawaii and luckily bagged the title, Tiny Miss Ewa Beach. Kyra competed for the Hawaii State Queen and emerged as the grand winner.
Surely, because of her innate charm, brain and beauty, plus her oozing talent, Lady Luck is on Kyra’s side because she won 6 out of 9 awards including Ms. Photogenic, Miss Elegance, ‘This is Me” Award, Miss Personality, Miss Community Spirit and Tiny Miss Hawaii.
Kyra can also dance Tahitian! Fact is, she brought the house down when people gathered together and witnessed her outstanding performance at the Neil S. Blaisdell Center. Kyra is not only an artist, par excellence! She is also socially responsible with a soft heart for the underprivileged.
Also, she is actively involved in Hawaii community and she has performed in various occasions such as church activities and all other gatherings all over the state. During her reign, she became a part of the American Cancer Society, American Breast Cancer Society, and The National Multiple Sclerosis of Hawaii.
Since birth, Kyra and her family also pledged to support Bahay Aruga in the Philippines to assist the pediatric cancer patients. Kyra displays proficiency in playing piano, doing Tahitian dancing, hula, ballet and interpretative dance with a hoverboard. Also, painting, doing clay art molding and sculpturing are some of her passions.
She also stands out in acting for the camera, modeling, and vlogging. Undoubtedly, Kyra is really a multi-talented young girl. Kyra trained as a model at Scott Cooper and Hawaii Best Models. At age 5, she had walked at the Professional Runway for the following well-known designers: Danili Apparel/Designer Lisa Wright (Orlando,Florida).
Kyra was personally chosen to be in the Runway Finale as she got the full support of different states and became the crowd’s number one favorite. She was also a huge head turner at Ritz-Carlton Residences last Oct. 5, 2019 for Hawaii Fashion Week and became the Designer’s Choice for both Lani Lau Hawaii and Majun Okinawa Collection, respectively.
In addition to her young career, Kyra flew to Disneyland in Orlando, Florida as she continued her training for the Emotions in Acting USA with Rich and Amy Hersey of Manikin Agency, Acting for the Camera NY and LA with Craig Holzberg from Avalon Artists, Breaking the Bizz with Brett Zimmerman, Runway Workshop with Damon Rutland (Nomad Worldwide), and a lot more. Kyra’s dance coach was Alex Collins from Shut Up and Dance.
Three months after winning the State Crown, Kyra represented Hawaii in Talent Inc, Orlando, Florida. Out of more than 520 aspiring models, actors and talents, while being the youngest at 5 years old, she emerged number 1 and took the very sought-after title of “Overall Top Child Model and Talent for 2019-2020”. She was able to gain the support of the other contestants, their families and became the judge’s overall top favorite.
Truly, the entire house was in complete and total jubilation. As the United States of America commemorated its declaration on July 3 and 4, 2021, Kyra graced and sang the Star-Spangled Banner at Washington, DC. She also sang God Bless America at the historical Basilica of the National Shrine of Immaculate Conception.
Moreover, during the Young Leaders Global Summit, Kyra made history as she was recognized as one of the “Top 50 World Most Influential Young Leaders” who were carefully selected and scrutinized from a pool of over 200 young inspiring leaders around the world.
Her amazing accomplishments since the age of 3 got the attention of the selection committee and received great feedbacks from across the globe. On July 24, 2021, with Hawaii and Philippines in her mind, she rocked and became the youngest and the celebrity’s head turner when she walked the red carpet at the 12th La Jolla International Film Festival. Reporters and representatives from different networks interviewed her as a young ambassador of love and peace.
Last Nov. 20, 2021 at the Celebrity Center, Hollywood California, Kyra was awarded as “World Inspiring Youth Leader”. She also performed live and opened the event, singing God Bless America and Hallelujah. For the record, Kyra was the youngest and the very first 7-year-old child awardee of the said award-giving body.
During the heights of COVID-19 pandemic, Kyra thought of making face shields out of her unused headbands, elastics and clear report covers. She donated dozens of DIY face shields to various health workers in Oahu.
The headbands highlighted phrases of encouragement and her handwritten note to the health care workers. The face shields were a great help during the quarantine while there was scarcity of face masks, face shields and other protective aids. April 10, 2020, Kyra’s face shields was featured in Hawaii’s KHON Channel 2 for her selfless act and kind gesture.
This little princess is absolutely unbelievable! On January 29, 2022, at FilCom Center Hawaii, Kyra sang with the Doctors-On-Stage Musicale Honoring Covid-19 Survivors and Frontliners. Kyra is very passionate with her singing career. She composed her own song entitled “I Love You, Dad” at age 6. Her music is available on Spotify, iTunes and Amazon Music.
She dedicated this song to her loving father, Ernesto Pesebre. This is also her tribute to all fathers for their untiring efforts and sacrifices for their family. Lastly, she also won the “Front of the Line” Audition Pass at the America's Got Talent and is currently working on a suspense film in Hollywood. She is currently a part of “Peter Pan” The British Musical and is excited to sing and play her role as the mermaid and fairy.
Kyra is unquestionably, “small but incredible” and a “Child Prodigy”, creating a lasting global impact as an inspiration to many youths and families around the world.
