SAN JUAN, Batangas — Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso on Friday, March 25, said he was also hoping that President Duterte will give him some advice on how to win in the May polls.

Domagoso made the statement when he was asked about his reaction on the reported meeting between President Duterte and presidential survey frontrunner former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.
“Good for Marcos kung nabigyan siya ng advice (if he was given advice). How I wish mabigyan din ako ng advice paano manalo kasi importante ‘yun eh (I will be also given advice on how to win because that’s important), he said in a chance interview here.
Domagoso also said that “history could repeat itself”, citing that even President Duterte had no one to endorse him back then.
“Remember, si President Duterte walang governor, halos wala. Walang congressman, halos wala. Wala rin siyang local politicians, wala rin sa survey. Nung bumoto ‘yung silent majority, the rest is history (Remember, President Duterte has no governor, almost none. No congressman, almost none. He also has no local politicians, nor is he in the survey. When the silent majority voted, the rest is history),” he pointed out.
“History repeats itself. Tsaka ang katwiran ko lagi, may Diyos naman eh, wala naman mawawala sakin. Sa basurahan lang ako galing eh. Ang importante ‘yung buhay mo bilang Pilipino, yung pamilya mo —doon ako after ((History repeats itself. Besides, my reason is always, there is a God, I won't lose anything in the trash, I'm just from the trash. The important thing is your life as a Filipino, your family — that's where I'm after) That, I can do something about it to improve that),” The Manila mayor had earlier said he was still hoping that the popular President Duterte could endorse his candidacy.
“Katulad niyo, katulad ni Pangulong Duterte, pipilitin ko, aabutin ko sa abot ng aking makakaya, na kayo’y mapaliwanagan, makumbinse na tulungan ako. (Like you, like President Duterte, I will insist, I will do my best, to enlighten you, to convince you to help me) For the meantime, it’s just another day. Tomorrow, the day after that, until its May,” Domagoso said.
