"The moment I have been waiting for, finally! To bring the belt to the best and my idol," wrote Magsayo on his social media channels.

MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons accompanied Magsayo in visiting Pacquiao in Forbes Park Makati.

In his Youtube channel, Pacquiao, the only eight-division world boxing champion, can be seen seemingly reviewing clips of Magsayo's recent fight.

Magsayo, in return, thanked his "kuya" for the pieces of advice.

Last month, the Tagbilaran, Bohol native boxer also handed the WBC trainer's belt to legendary coach Freddie Roach.

The 26-year-old Magsayo is slated to put his WBC featherweight belt on the line when he faces former champion Rey Vargas reportedly in July.

He dethroned Gary Russell Jr. last Jan. to capture the WBC title and maintain his undefeated status with 24 wins on top of 16 knockouts.

Magsayo is spending his free time in the Philippines and received a warm welcome for his homecoming in Bohol before traveling back to the USA to begin training camp.
