UniTeam is led by presidential candidate Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and running mate Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

According to former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) secretary Villar, the abundance of natural resources in the Zambales area should be taken advantage of as a means to boost tourism, economy, and employment.

We will use these resources to boost tourism, economy, and employment by providing more jobs to Filipinos through infrastructure projects)”, Villar said in a press statement on Sunday, March 20.

He cited two currently ongoing infrastructure projects that could assist in boosting Zambales tourism, namely: an access road between San Jose, Tarlac and Palauig Zambales which began construction in 2018; and the New Clark City to Tarlac-Zambales Road, a 4-lane road which began construction in 2021.

He further explained that increased road connectivity in Aurora, Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, Tarlac, and Zambales will boost the agriculture and tourism sectors of Central Luzon.

Villar’s main senatorial platform is the continuation of the incumbent administration’s “Build, Build, Build.’

He is one of the 12 members of the UniTeam Senate slate led by presidential bet Marcos Jr. and presidential daughter Duterte.
