MB Daily News Update: Presidential debate: 'Not perfect, but highly successful'
The first debate among the presidential contenders in the May 2022 polls was described as “not perfect, but highly successful” by a Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner even if the survey frontrunner former senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos was absent.
The OCTA Research Group noted that, even with other Asian countries experiencing Covid-19 surges, the Philippines has remained at “very low risk” for inspection.
Meanwhile, Russia said it has unleashed a new hypersonic missile to escalate attacks in Ukraine, even as it said that it will not initiate any moves to reconcile with the West.
Pope Francis visited Ukrainian children at a Vatican hospital, while parishes in Manila were urged to join the Pope in the consecration of Russian and Ukraine to the Blessed Mother.
