Presidential candidate and Manila Mayor Francisco "Isko Moreno" Domagoso on Saturday, March 19, said he was in favor of the proposed four-day work week, but it would still depend on the industry that will have to adopt it.

During the Commission on Elections' (Comelec) PiliPinas Debates 2022, all presidential candidates were asked if they were in favor of the proposed four-day workweek.
Domagoso, for his part, said the implementation of the four-day workweek should depend on the type of industry since there are industries that need physical presence to be productive.
"I think depende sa industriya. Kung BPO (business process outsourcing), for example, it can have one day work from home. I think that I can agree with," he said.
“Pero may mga industriya tayo na kailangan ng (but we have industries that needs) physical presence to create more productivity, efficiency in production,” he added.
National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Secretary Karl Chua had earlier recommended to shorten the workweek to four days but with longer hours to help conserve energy amid rising fuel costs.
The decision of President Duterte on the proposed four-day work week is set to be announced on Monday, March 21.
